Getting back to it
Just got back from the NARBC show in Anaheim. Met a bunch of great people, had a great time and got to talk snakes all weekend. Don't miss the next NARBC show in Tinley. I think Tinley is the best show in the US.

Poor odds today
Just checked the incubator and saw a clutch pipping. Spider poss het Lavender Albino to Normal. All normals. Not one spider in the clutch. That is the way it goes.

Citrus Pastel Puma
This beauty just crawled out of the egg yesterday. Just an amazing snake. Only thing better is if it was a male. I think the whiteout gene maybe there too.

I just couldn't wait any longer
I am really good about not cutting eggs. I like to wait until one pips then I will cut the rest open and see what is in there. I just couldn't stand it no more. I have two great clutches hatching and it was killing me. Both are due to hatch on the 24th. One is Het Puma to normal and the other is Het Puma to Yellowbelly. The Het Puma to normal clutch is a great one but I wanted to see a Puma. So outcome the razor blade and a cutting we will go. First one looks like a yellowbelly , second one not so sure, third one jackpot it was a Puma. So I stopped there. That still leaves 8 more eggs to open. I am hopping there are a couple more in that clutch.

Great odds
This clutch just shed out a few days ago. The clutch was a little bit of a disappointment. I was hoping to produce some Ebonies. The female was a sibling to Amir's Ebony but it looks like that snake will not be reproduced again. I did get some great odds though so the clutch wasn't a total bummer. 1.4 pastel yellowbellies. Everyone in the clutch was a pastel from a pastel ivory.
Clutch update
Some great clutches over the past week.
Tiger x Enchi
Tri Stripe x Het Tri Stripe
Tri Stripe x Albino Cinnamon
Ultramel x Normal
Pastave Het Hypo x Het Hypo
Pastave Het Hypo x Normal (not so sure she is a normal)
Pastel Het Genetic Stripe x Pastel Het Genetic Stripe
Het Puma x Whiteout Citrus Pastel Yellowbelly
Some great possibilities in there, just need those odds to roll my way.

Number 12 just laid today, well maybe????
I was checking cages today and stumbled on a clutch. I opened the cage to check the tub and there she was just coiled up. A total surprise clutch. This super pastel female was born in 06 and has been a crappy feeder for me. She was eating ASF's but then wouldn't even eat them. She had not ate in over 5 months. I was going to breed her then decided that she was not ready with the small size and poor feeding. I only had a male pastel pinstripe in with her one time at the end of November. She weight 1450 in October and was 1026 after weighing the eggs. So adding the egg weight back in she was 1306 before laying.
I am really not sure when this clutch was laid. She was in a top spot on the rack and not eating. So I was not really checking on her. They looked nice a plump, so I think it was in the last 2 days.
I am hoping she eats better now that she has laid a clutch. I have found after laying a clutch of eggs many problem feeders get much better.
Pictures to follow.

First clutch hatced.
While out in Vegas my first clutch has hatched. Got one cinnamon, 3 pastels and a Sterling. Luck would have it the Sterling is a male. I was really hoping for a super pewter from this clutch and really would have like to see more combos in there. I will post pictures one they shed.
Las Vegas
I had a great time in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Reptile Expo. Tyler put on a great show. It was nice meeting lots of new people. I will definatly be back again for this show.
